On the Black Ink Crew Chicago episode “I Like My Tamales Real,” while Danielle produces a fashion show to help promote her new fashion blog, Van Johnson continues to struggle to deal with the fallout from his breakup with Jenn. When Van hangs out with his adorable teenage daughter Bri, she tells him she’s upset about the breakup and has an idea on how her father can win Jenn back.

Bri’s initial big idea is for Van to send Jenn flowers every day. Van says, “I’m not going to negotiate with a teenager.” That said, he knows how tough the past couple of weeks have been tough on the both of them. “Seeing just how much it’s affected Briana is definitely a wake-up call for me.” He adds, “Jenn has been like a stepmother to Briana since she was seven years old.” When Van tells Briana he can’t fix his situation with Jenn, Briana suggests a big prom proposal. He doesn’t exactly agree to that, but he does agree to try to get her back “by any means necessary.” Black Ink Crew Chicago airs Wednesdays at 8pm on VH1.
