Paulina Gretzky and Ivanka Trump. They both have long blond hair, active social media accounts, and significant others (Dustin Johnson, Jared Kushner) with big bank accounts. (They also both have fathers, Wayne Gretzky and Donald Trump, with even bigger bank accounts.) Ivanka is a few years Paulina’s senior, but they’re both young aggressive-minded business people who have used their fame (both inherited and earned) to catapult their businesses. Sure, their Instagram accounts have a different flavor (see below) — these days Ivanka, the former model, is usually all buttoned-up with a White House backdrop, while Paulina tends to use the sun and sea as her backdrop –and buttoned-up never seems to occur to her.
Both Gretzky and Trump retain the famous last names they were born with, too, another similarity. The only problem with calling Gretzky the Ivanka Trump of the golf world — that is, the person who all the cameras are aimed even though she’s not in charge — is that Ivanka herself isn’t far from the golf world. One of Donald Trump’s main businesses is golf course branding and ownership. Ivanka practically grew up on the course.
