Showtime filmed stand-up comedian Tony T. Roberts in his native Detroit for a one-hour special Tony Roberts: Motorcity Motormouth. The cable network describes it as “a raucous and occasionally musical night of stand-up where no topic is off limits and anything can happen.”
When not doing stand-up, Roberts has been pursuing an acting career. He’s known for his roles on the TV series Mr. Box Office (Tony the Tiger) with Jon Lovitz and Vivica A. Fox, Uncle Buck (Cy) with Mike Epps, and in the 2016 comedy Meet the Blacks (911 operator), also with Mike Epps. The one-hour special Tony Roberts: Motorcity Motormouth airs Friday, December 2 at 10pm on Showtime.
