On the Outdaughtered episode ‘All Eyes on Hazel’, after Adam and Danielle Busby decide to go through with eye surgery for their daughter Hazel, they take a road trip to visit Danielle’s mother Michelle aka “Mimi.” They think they’re there to help Mimi with a garage sale, but then Mimi shocks her children by telling them she’s selling the house. In past episodes, Mimi has said that she’s been struggling financially after being unemployed.

Mimi tells Danielle and her sister that she wants to move closer to her grandbabies. But she’s not looking to buy or rent. She’s hoping to stay with her kids. “Maybe I could rotate,” she says. Mimi leaves everyone speechless. Outdaughtered airs Tuesdays at 9pm on TLC.
