President Barak Obama sits down with TV talk show host Bill Maher on his Real Time with Bill Maher show. They meet not at the HBO studio but at the White House. Two days before HBO airs the interview, a photo of the two men sitting under bright lights in what looks like the Oval Office was posted on the official Bill Maher Facebook page. The caption of the photo reads: “With Potus at the White House – finally! ‘Persistence’ he says as we sat down. ‘That’s how I got Michelle to marry me.’”
The post evoked close to 5,000 comments including one from Stephanie Lombardo who congratulated Maher on the long-awaited interview. She writes: “I think he [Obama] knew he had to wait until he could speak more freely about his personal views. Gloves are off POTUS…preach it!!” Real Time with Bill Maher airs Fridays at 10pm on HBO.
