In the Below Deck episode ‘Decent Proposal,’ Valor stew Kate Chastain says goodbye to her then-girlfriend Ro Hernandez who joined the crew on their Scrub Island outing. Since filming the episode, Kate and Ro have broken up. In June, Chastain was reportedly arrested for domestic battery by strangulation “after things allegedly got physical between the two.” Chastain told Bravo’s The Daily Dish that she’s looking forward to having her day in court (November 7, Brevard County, Florida).
When asked how it felt watching her and Ro “all lovey-dovey” on the episode, Kate answered: “I think the human body can only tolerate so much pain caused by another person, and I reached that quota about two months ago, so really nothing else can really hurt me anymore.” Below Deck airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
