In the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode ‘Making a Rapist,’ Sean Roberts, who was wrongly accused of rape and served 16 years in prison, is released after DNA evidence proves his innocence. “We were able to identify the real rapist,” NYPD Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) announces at a press conference. But just one day after Roberts’ release, Detective Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice-T) is forced to reinvestigate Roberts for new, bloody crime.
Sean Roberts is portrayed by Henry Thomas. He is known for his roles on Sons of Liberty (John Adams), Betrayal (TJ Karsten), and the TV series Moby Dick with Gregory Peck and Patrick Stewart (Ishmael). Thomas is also well recognized for his roles in the movies Gangs of New York (Johnny Sirocco), Legends of the Fall (Samuel Ludlow), and E.T. (E.T.’s friend Elliott), among others.
