Comedic actor David Spade (Tommy Boy) is hosting Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe. Spade is the roaster who has known Lowe the longest, but Lowe goes way back with actor Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid, The Outsiders), too. A number of unexpected celebrities join in the fun including singer/songwriter Jewel, conservative talking head Ann Coulter, and standup comedians Jimmy Carr and Nikki Glaser, among others.
During the Rob Lowe roast, Glaser takes aim at Jewel “or as I call her, Trailer Swift” and Jewel’s crooked teeth which Nikki compares to the Spice Girls – “they’re all different colors and doing their own thing.” (Even with her hand covering her mouth, Jewel proves to be a good sport.) Comedy Central aired Glaser’s first one-hour special Perfect and is the home of the TV talk show Not Safe with Nikki Glaser. Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe will air on Monday, September 5 at 10pm.
