In The Simpsons episode “How Lisa Got Her Marge Back,” while Bart gets Maggie to help him trick people, Marge and Lisa make up after a fight — by spending the weekend together. Marge takes Lisa to Capital City to see a musical production of the Bad News Bears. The star of the show, real life Broadway triple threat Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon, Jersey Boys, Hairspray, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Hamilton) serenades Marge and reminds Lisa how lucky she is to have such a great mom.
Andrew Rannells is known for his roles on Girls (Elijah Krantz), The Knick (Frazier H. Wingo), Glee (himself), How I Met Your Mother (Darren), The New Normal (Bryan Collins), and in the films The Intern (Cameron) and Bachelorette (Manny). Rannells is also recognized for providing a variety of voices for the animated series Pokemon, Sonic X, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, F-Zero GP Legend, Fighting Cooking Legend Bistro Recipe (Fried Ricer), and Shaman King (Lenny), among others. The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8pm on FOX.
