The new spinoff Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders follows an international unit of the FBI. Their job is to help and solve crimes involving American citizens in foreign countries. In the series premiere, “The Harmful One,” three American volunteers disappear in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders team consists of five main characters:
- Jack Garrett is portrayed by Gary Sinise: CSI: NY (Mac Taylor), Forrest Gump (Lt. Dan Taylor), Of Mice and Men (George).
- Mae Jarvis is portrayed by Annie Funke: This is Funke’s big break. She had a small role in the 2014 film A Most Violent Year (Lorraine).
- Clara is portrayed by Alana De La Garza: Scorpion (Adriana Molina), CSI: Miami (Marisol Delko), Law & Order (ADA Rubirosa).
- Matthew Simmons is portrayed by Daniel Henney: X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Agent Zero); Big Hero 6 (Tadashi).
- Russ “Monty” Montgomery is portrayed by Tyler James Williams: The star of Everybody Hates Chris, and Noah on The Walking Dead.
Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders airs Wednesdays at 10pm on CBS.
