On the Mob Wives episode “Drittany,” while Karen Gravano tries to clear the air between Brittany Fogarty, Carla and Renee, Karen’s about to get sucker-punched by Drita D’Avanzo. As usual, there’s a lot of he said, she said, but when it comes to talking about Drita’s husband, Lee, Drita won’t hesitate to get physical. Especially if the talk is coming from Karen Gravano, who dated Lee for 10 years before he married Drita. Karen told Brittany that when she was with Lee, they went to visit her father “Sammy the Bull” in jail. When Sammy told Lee he needed to “show him what kind of man he is” according to Karen, “Lee ran away.” Basically, Karen’s story paints a cowardly picture of Lee.
Lee D’Avanzo is known as the leader of the New Springville Boys gang in Staten Island. Allegedly the gang worked with the Colombo Crime Family and the Bonanno Crime Family. He has served a total of 12 years in prison for drug dealing and bank robbery convictions. Lee has been out of jail since January 2013, but he has yet to appear on Mob Wives, which airs Wednesdays at 8pm on VH1.
