VH1 Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn follows five famous families in an intensive group therapy program. The families include Lindsay Lohan’s divorced parents, Michael and Dina Lohan, Damon Dash (and his two brothers), former 16 and Pregnant sisters (Briana and Brittany DeJesus), Flavor of Love reality TV star Tiffany “New York” Pollard and her mom, and former Jackass star Bam Margera.
Bam (born Brandon Cole Margera) is on the show with his mother April, who was the target of many of his antics on Jackass. Story goes he got the nickname Bam at 3, from his grandfather, for having the habit of running into walls. Bam became famous for his role on MTV’s Jackass. The show lasted two years but a number of Jackass movies followed, and Margera got his own reality TV show, Viva La Bam, and his own (shortlived) game show, Bam’s Badass Gameshow (2014). On Family Therapy, April voices her concern for Bam’s health. Since the tragic death of his good friend Ryan Dunn (also of Jackass), Bam “has been on a years-long bender.” VH1 Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn airs Wednesdays at 9pm.
