On Love & Hip Hop, Yorma Hernandez meets with her sister Cimary for lunch in Inwood. When Cimary asks about Yorma’s creeping man DJ Self, Yorma says, “He’s working on being a better boyfriend.” Cimary doesn’t laugh in her sister’s face but says, “You mean, one step forward, three steps back, kind of thing?” Yorma doesn’t know what Cimary’s talking about until her sister plays a clip from DJ Self’s show. On air, Self calls Rose, owner of the salon and sexy boutique Beauty Bar, who fawns all over Self and repeatedly calls him “guapo” (handsome). Cimary tells Yorma to walk right over there to the Beauty Bar (in the neighborhood) and straight up ask Rose if there’s something going on. Cimary is trying to protect her sister but her plan backfires when Yorma gets ugly at the Beauty Bar.
According to LinkedIn, Cimary Hernandez is working as a Family Support Coordinator at New York City’s Department of Education. She’s been working with the DOE since October 2015.
