During the two-part TV special Madoff, Americans will relive the rise and fall of infamous financier Bernie Madoff — portrayed by Oscar-winner Richard Dreyfuss. When Bernie fell, so did the family including his brother Peter Madoff who was the chief compliance officer at Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities in Manhattan. After big brother Bernie pleaded guilty to the Ponzi scheme in 2009 and received a prison term of 150 years, Peter Madoff was sentenced to 10 years in 2012.

In Madoff, Peter Madoff is portrayed by Peter Scolari. He’s best known for his roles on the TV shows Gotham (Commissioner Loeb), Girls (Hannah’s dad, Tad Horvath), Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show (Wayne), Newhart (Michael Harris), and Bosom Buddies (Henry) with Tom Hanks. The first part of Madoff airs February 3 at 8pm on ABC. The second part airs February 4 at 8pm.
