Who Is Mark Ballas’ Singer Girlfriend BC Jean of ‘Alexander Jean’?

On the season finale of Dancing with the Stars, professional dancer Mark Ballas – who danced this season with Alexa PenaVega – will play guitar and sing harmony with his singer/songwriter girlfriend BC Jean. Together, they’re known as the indie duo Alexander Jean. Their latest hit is “Roses and Violets” (see/hear video below).

BC Jean (born Brittany Jean Carlson) is only 28 years old (Ballas is 29) but already she has a Beyonce song on her resume. Jean wrote and first sang the song “If I Were A Boy“. She has music in her blood. Her grandparents were singers and actors, too. They performed on The Perry Como Show and The Fred Waring Show in the 1950s. The season finale of Dancing with the Stars will air Tuesday, November 24 at 9pm on ABC.
