On Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, the team tries to help a violinist who was raped by her colleague who claims he doesn’t remember committing a crime because he was drugged by an escort. They’re also forced to deal with the arrival of the boss’ son, Sgt. Mike Dodd (Andy Karl). On top of that, when off-duty, Officer Rollins (Kelli Giddish) has to deal with her mother Beth Anne who throws a baby shower for her, and her sister Kim (Lindsay Pulsipher).
Mama Rollins is portrayed by Virginia Madsen. She’s known for her roles on the TV shows Witches of East End (Penelope Gardiner), Monk (TK Jensen), American Dreams (Rebecca Sandstrom), and Frasier (Cassandra Stone). She’s also recognized for her roles in the movies Sideways, The Number 23 with Jim Carrey, and Candyman. Madsen can be seen in the forthcoming indie film Burning Bodhi with Kaley Cuoco. Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 9pm on NBC.
