The film Stockholm, Pennsylvania is about a young woman who returns home after being kidnapped when 4 years old. Leia was kidnapped by a man named Ben who became Leia’s everything. Cut off from the outside world for 18 years, Ben is all she knows. She loves him. Saoirse Ronan who portrays Leia said: “He (Ben) brought her up, and how he taught her things, and he gave her morals and principles…how she takes that with her when she goes into the real world is really interesting.”
Ben is portrayed by Jason Isaacs. The Englishman is best known for his roles as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, Colonel Tavington in The Patriot, and criminal Caffee in Brotherhood. He’s currently starring in the new USA Network series Dig as FBI agent Peter Connelly. Stockholm, Pennsylvania premieres on Lifetime on May 9 at 8pm.
