Former Saturday Night Live stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host the Golden Globes award ceremony on Sunday, January 11, 2015 on NBC. To promote the televised show, Fey and Poehler star in a 35-second bit about the old Joan Rivers red carpet question: “Who are you wearing?”
Fey announces that she’ll be wearing “a Pierre de Jambon romper with cheese and children’s ice skates.” Poehler says she’ll be wearing an ER bandage dress with stilts. The joke would resonate more if Fey and Poehler really didn’t care about what they wore. But the co-hosts usually look pretty glam, despite playing it down. Maybe this is the year they’ll change it up and take advice from another successful SNL alum, Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld, Veep). She advises comedians: “Don’t be afraid to look ugly. Don’t be afraid to look a fool. Just risk.” Fey and Poehler are in their third consecutive year hosting and they’ve already announced this will be their last. It would be fun to see those ice skates.
