The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder and The Twilight Saga actress Nikki Reed are definitely a couple. Together they adopted a horse named Eagle. Somerhalder posted a pic of the equine on Instagram and referred to the horse as “our big baby boy.” While promoting The Vampire Diaries back in 2009, Somerhalder said in an interview: “I would like to spend about six years on this show and a couple of movies and then cash out and spend the rest of my life on a horse.” (He has one more year to go!)
Since dating Somerhalder and filming The Sunday Horse, Reed has developed a deep love of horses, too. In the film, Reed plays a young woman who has a near-fatal accident on a horse and then “defies all odds to win a national jumping championship.” The family-friendly film also stars William Shatner (Star Trek) and Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction), to be released 2015.
