One of the scariest horror movies (and novels) of all time, The Exorcist, is the inspiration of the new TV show of the same title. In the series premiere, two very different priests try to help the Rances, a family experiencing “a horrifying case of demonic possession.” Angela Rance is the first to hear voices in the walls. She believes the demon is trying to take her daughter away from her.
Angela Rance is portrayed by Geena Davis who describes the series as “a classic battle between good and evil…played out in a very scary way.” Davis is known for her TV roles on Grey’s Anatomy (Dr. Nicole Herman), Commander in Chief (President Mackenzie Allen), The Geena Davis Show (Teddie Cochran), and Buffalo Bill (Wendy Killian). Davis is also well recognized for her roles in the films Stuart Little (Mrs. Little), A League of Their Own (Dottie), Thelma & Louise (Thelma), Earth Girls Are Easy (Valerie), Beetlejuice (Barbara Maitland), The Fly with her now ex-husband Jeff Goldblum (Veronica), Fletch (Larry), and Tootsie (April). The Exorcist airs Fridays at 9pm on FOX.
