In the Women in Prison episode “The Conspirator and the Good Christian,” the Conspirator is Judy Brumbeloe-Parker. According to Judy, her husband of ten years, John Parker Jr, was abusive toward her and her children. Judy’s daughter from her first marriage, Christina Grabski, said that her stepfather had sexually assaulted her. When Judy plotted the murder of her husband she involved her daughter Christina, and her son, Daniel Lee Hicks, also from her first marriage. They all pleaded guilty. Judy was sentenced to 33 years in prison. Daniel, who pulled the trigger, was sentenced to 23 years; and Christina was sentenced to five years for assisting a criminal. According to prosecutors, she bought the gun her brother used to kill Parker.
Christina Hicks-Grabski was released from prison after two and a half years, in 2013, the same year she died of a drug overdose. She was 27. Women in Prison airs Fridays at 10pm on TLC.
