The Financial Times recently reported that Hollywood movie star Emma Watson (Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film franchise based on J. K. Rowling’s books) has dropped acting to “join the family business.”
The former actress and her brother, Alex Watson, are launching a premium gin made with “upcycled grapes” called Renais. Renais means “rebirth” and it’s pronounced like “Renée.” As in renaissance.
Two weeks after The Financial Times exclusive interview with Watson dropped, two-time Oscar winner Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, 12 Years a Slave) announced that he’s launching his new gin, the Gardener, at the Cannes Film Festival.
At the famous Carlton Cannes Hotel, bartenders will serve a “Secret Garden” drink made with the gin (lemon juice, orange juice, strawberry syrup and an egg white).
Get ready to see more of Pitt: He will appear next on the big screen in upcoming thriller Wolfs with George Clooney, who is also in the spirits business with his Casamigos brand tequila. Note: The movie, Wolfs, is about “two lone wolf fixers who are assigned to the same job.” See set photos above.
