The View co-host Meghan McCain, daughter of the late Senator and former Republican U.S. presidential candidate John McCain, announced on social media that she’s pregnant. In the note below, she admits “this isn’t how I expected to announce my pregnancy” with her husband Ben. For the safety of her and her baby and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, she is self-isolating as are millions of Americans.
Many celebrities replied with congratulatory words including comedian Ken Jeong and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna. Congresswoman and former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii replied: “I’m crying right now. So so so happy for you, Meghan.”
After announcing her run for president, Congresswoman Gabbard went on The View in February 2019. McCain didn’t beat around the bush about her disapproval of Gabbard’s foreign policy.
McCain told Gabbard: “When I hear the name Tulsi Gabbard, I think of an Assad apologist” and “someone spouting propaganda.” Watch the tense clip (above). The View airs weekdays at 11 am on ABC.
