On Season 8 of My 600-lb Life, the cameras follow 23-year-old Seana Collins, who weighs around 700 lbs. She lives with her mother and according to TLC, Seana is “depressed and anxious.” Before moving to Houston, Texas to meet with Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, he provides her with a plan to lose the required weight in order to become eligible for weight loss surgery.
Alas, Seana is careless with the papers that Dr. Now gave her – documents which outlined the diet and exercises he prescribed. To make matters worse, she doesn’t call his office to tell him, as she says, “because I was so scared and nervous” that he would “kick me out of the program.”
When she tells her friend and tries to imagine telling Dr. Now that she’s gone a whole month without the papers, she smiles and sinks her chin in her neck and says, “Turtle mode activated!”
New episodes of My 600-lb Life air Wednesdays at 8 pm on TLC.
