In the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode “Diss,” pop star Dallas Monroe (Amber Stevens West) is hospitalized after being assaulted in her home. During the investigation, the SVU learns about the public feud between her rapper husband Justin “Snake Eye” Anderson (Orlando Jones) and rival recording artist P.T. Banks, who’s portrayed by real-life rapper Snoop Dogg. For the episode, Snoop Dogg is wearing a black St. Ides jacket and sweatsuit.

St. Ides is the name of the malt liquor manufactured by Pabst Brewing Company. The high-alcohol malt liquor (8.2%) became popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s thanks to endorsements by celebrity hip hop and rap artists including Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, 2Pac, and Snoop Dogg (see TV commercial below), who sells his St. Ides sweatsuit for $250 at the SnooperMarket.
It’s not Snoop’s first time acting. He played Huggy Bear in the 2004 comedy film Starsky & Hutch and Blue in the drama Training Day with Denzel Washington, among others. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit airs Thursdays at 10 pm on NBC, right after the new sitcom Abby’s.
