In the My Big Fat Fabulous Life episode “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” Whitney Way Thore reconsiders her Alaskan adventure after trying to scale “an impossible rock wall climb.” While her friend Buddy worries about his new girlfriend Chelsea leaving Greensboro (where she just moved to be with him), Whitney’s other male friend Todd gives her “a mouthful” for spreading lies about him quitting BGDC (Big Girls Dance Class).
At a BGDC, when Whitney tells her students that “Todd has quit,” after a pregnant pause one of the students asks Whitney, “What did you do?” Whitney says she asked Todd to come to the class and explain his departure himself but according to Whitney, he didn’t respond to her request. Whitney tells the class, “It was completely out of nowhere,” but they’ve fought over BGDC before, “that’s nothing new but it’s something about the way he quit and when he quit and that he didn’t tell the girls (the students), that really gets under my skin.” My Big Fat Fabulous Life airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on TLC.
