In The Cool Kids episode “Thanksgiving at Murray’s,” Margaret (Vicki Lawrence) brings Sid (Leslie Jordan) to an exclusive potluck Thanksgiving dinner. At the dinner, hosted by snooty foodie Murray (Charles Shaughnessy, The Nanny), Margaret and Sid try to chit chat with the other guests, Norman (Clyde Kusatsu) and Francine.
Francine is portrayed by Julia Duffy. She’s known for her roles on Shameless (Candace Lishman), Drake & Josh (Mrs. Hayfer), Passions (Mother Superior), Reba (Mrs. Hodge), The Mommies (Barb Ballantine), Designing Women (Allison Sugarbaker), Newhart (Stephanie Vanderkellen), and The Doctors (Penny Davis), among others. Duffy is also recognized for her roles n the films Intolerable Cruelty with George Clooney and Dumb and Dumber (Jessica’s mom). The Cool Kids airs Fridays at 8:30 pm on FOX, right after Last Man Standing.
