On the second episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days Season 2, “Face to Face,” single mom Rachel arrives in England to meet her online boyfriend Jon. He’s the man who considers Rachel’s newborn baby his — even though he’s not her biological father and hasn’t yet met Rachel face to face.
Below the equator, hair collector Paul reunites with his stuffed animal-loving girlfriend Karine, and single dad Tarik, 43, travels to the Philippines to meet Hazel, a 25-year-old woman he’s fallen in love with online, and plans to marry. Tarik’s skeptical brother goes with him. Sitting in a cafe, having a beer, Tarik’s brother warns him. But Tarik doesn’t want to hear it. Tarik tells his brother, “Just be happy for me,” but his brother says, “When I put this equation together, you look like an idiot.”
Tarik admits to his brother that going to the Philippines and proposing to Hazel (who attends religious ceremonies where members speak in tongues) is the biggest risk he’s taken in his life. Some 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days fans argue (joke) that Tarik’s outfit choice might be an even bigger risk.
