Reid Umstattd is one of the older contestants on Season 14 of The Voice. The 34-year-old from Austin, Texas brings his years of experience on stage to The Voice. Since 2005, Reid has been the lead singer of the alternative rock band Nelo. The band has released six albums including their most recent Roots (Live) in 2017. On Team Adam, Reid won his Battle Round against Davison after singing Rihanna song “Love On the Brain” with conviction.
[This Nelo album includes the song “Hometown”]
Reid is now a married man and rocks a fairly conservative look. But just three years ago he looked like Eddie Vedder — when Vedder had long wavy hair, a beard, and was the lead singer for Pearl Jam (photo below). Check out the video below of Reid and Nelo performing their hit song “Hometown” at Austin City Limits Live (link to the song on Nelo’s studio album is above). The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
