American Idol judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan are impressed with singer Kristyn Harris. She’s one of the most unique singers on the show. The 23-year-old was home-schooled in her hometown of McKinney, Texas. When not yodeling and singing, Kristyn works as a cattle farmer and a trick horseback rider. There’s even a painting of “cowgirl” Kristyn in the Charlie Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana. The painting, titled “Heading to the Branding,” is by Tamara Magdalina. See photo below.
The painting was later sold at an auction held at the museum. For the event, Harris sang the Dixie Chicks song “Thank Heavens for Dale Evans.” American Idol airs Sundays and Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
