In the 9JKL episode “Fridays with Harry,” when Harry (Elliott Gould) opts for a four-day work week he looks forward to spending his Fridays with his son Josh (Mark Feuerstein). To avoid spending the whole day with his father Josh gets Harry into an acting class. Meanwhile Josh’s mother Judy (Linda Lavin) is called back to her doctor’s office which makes her think she’s dying.
Judy’s Doctor Dr. Starnes is portrayed by Phil Morris. Morris is known for his roles on Baby Daddy (Marshall Dobbs), Smallville (John Jones/Martian Manhunter), Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Miles Dyson), Girlfriends (Dr. Clay Spencer), Love Boat: The Next Wave (Chief Purser Will Sanders), Seinfeld (Kramer’s attorney Jackie Chiles), Mission: Impossible (Grant), Melrose Place (Walter), and The Young and the Restless (Tyrone Jackson), among others. Fun fact: Phil is the son of the late great Mission: Impossible star Greg Morris. 9JKL airs Mondays at 9:30pm on CBS, right after Superior Donuts and right before Scorpion.
