In the MacGyver episode “Mardi Gras Beads + Chair,” the team is sent to the City of New Orleans. While looking for a con artist named Dixie (Amy Smart) who’s posing as the wife of Duke Jacoby, one of Jack’s (George Eads) old CIA aliases, Jack reunites with his old informant Willy who’s into voodoo.
Willy is portrayed by Garrett Morris. The 80-year-old stand-up comedian (who was born in New Orleans!) is known for his roles as diner cashier Earl on 2 Broke Girls, The Jamie Foxx Show (Uncle Junior King), Martin (Stan Winters), Roc (Wiz), Hunter (Sporty James), The Jeffersons (Jimmy), and Saturday Night Live (1975-1980), among others. MacGyver airs Fridays at 8pm on CBS, right before Hawaii Five-0.
