In the premiere of Will & Grace 2.0, “11 Years Later,” politics is a hot topic. The political beliefs of both Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) are put to the test. Meanwhile Jack (Sean Hayes) votes for Hillary based on the fact that pop star Katy Perry is “With Her” while one-percenter Karen (Megan Mullally) supports Trump. The one character who hasn’t returned is Karen’s maid Rosario.
Rosario was portrayed by Shelley Morrison, who will turn 81 in October. She retired from acting in 2012, the year President Obama won his second term. All four leading stars of Will & Grace were avid Hillary Clinton supporters. We can assume Morrison was too — in 2008 she endorsed and actively fundraised for Democratic U.S. Congressman Dennis Kucinich in the 2008 presidential election. Since retiring from TV, Morrison and her husband Walter Dominguez have been working on the documentary “Weaving the Past: A Lifelong Journey.” Will & Grace airs Thursdays at 9pm on NBC.
