In the MasterChef Season 8 episode “The MasterChef Returns,” the winner of Season 7, Shaun O’Neale, returns to present the home cooks with a mystery-box challenge. It involves ingredients featured in his debut cookbook, My Modern American Table, which came out in May. The former DJ from Las Vegas shares 65 recipes including his famous Bourbon Braised Short Rib Ravioli and Salted Caramel Chocolate Tarts with Berry Sorbet.
MasterChef Gordon Ramsay wrote the forward for My Modern American Table. “The beauty of this book is that Shaun has adapted his more complex recipes so that even novice home cooks can have fun making his dishes in their own kitchens.” MasterChef airs Wednesdays at 8pm on FOX.
