After the season finale of Teen Mom OG where Amber Portwood “lashes out” about her relationship with fiance Matt Baier (she made him take a lie detector test and he failed), Teen Mom 2 returns for the sixth season with new mom Briana DeJesus. Briana was on MTV’s reality show 16 and Pregnant with her sister Brittany DeJesus; the sisters got pregnant at the same time. Brittany had an abortion; Briana, then 17, had baby girl Nova Star in 2011. (The father of Nova Star is Briana’s ex-boyfriend Devoin Austin.)

It’s been five years since Briana has been on MTV (she and Brittany were on VH1’s Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn in 2016), and she’s now 23 years old and pregnant with her second child (born July 2). In the premiere episode, the cameras capture Briana meeting Teen Mom veteran Leah Messer by Skype. Briana tells Leah that she’s excited and nervous and admits, “I thought you guys would like hate me or something because I’m joining the show.” Teen Mom 2 airs Mondays at 9pm on MTV.
