During the second episode of The Bachelorette, Season 13, Rachel meets ten of the guys at a school gymnasium for basketball. She says she used to play competitively but is a bit rusty so they warm up together. Contestant DeMario is ready. In the locker room, DeMario tells the camera: “This is my zone. I grew up playing basketball. I’m going for blood.” And he’s confident he’s going to get the rose at the end of the day. “I’m confident like Michael Jordan in the finals,” he says.
DeMario is no joke on the court. The 6’4″ tall, 30-year-old impresses Rachel with his moves and ability to block shots. “It’s no secret one of my weaknesses is an athlete,” says Rachel. At one point during the game, she yells out to DeMario “Dunk it!” and he does so with aplomb. The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
