In the NCIS: Los Angeles episode ‘Battle Scars’, former Navy Captain Charles Langston (guest star Carl Lumbly) kidnaps a Veterans Affairs administrator who’s been siphoning funds. The team works with two of Hetty’s former Vietnam War colleagues retired Admiral A.J. Chegwidden (John M. Jackson) and Admiral Sterling Bridges.

Admiral Bridges is portrayed by James Remar. He’s known for his roles on the TV shows The Path (Kodiak), State of Affairs (Syd), Wilfred (Henry), Grey’s Anatomy (Jimmy Evans), Dexter (Dexter’s adoptive father Harry Morgan), Jericho (Jonah), and Sex and the City (Samantha’s lover Richard Wright), among others. Remar is also well recognized for his roles in the films 48 Hrs. (Ganz), Drugstore Cowboy (Gentry), The Cotton Club (Dutch Schultz), and The Warriors (Ajax).
