ABC 20/20 correspondent Deborah Roberts interviews two grieving mothers, Pam Crews and Sherry Smith. In 2015, the two mothers’ adult children – Jonathan Crews, 27, and Lauren Agee, 21 — died separately and (they believe) under suspicious circumstances. Both mothers have filed lawsuits against the people who last saw their children – Jonathan’s former girlfriend who says Jonathan shot himself, and Lauren’s friends with whom she was camping. (Lauren’s body was found in a nearby cove.) Both mothers have hired mom-turned-private investigator Sheila Wysocki to try to find the truth behind the deaths of their children.
Sheila Wysocki, mother of two, became a professional private detective after she solved her former roommate’s murder — the case had gone cold for more than 30 years. Wysocki founded the non-profit organization Without Warning: Fight Back and produced the short documentary What Would You Do If You Were Attacked? Wysocki will also be interviewed by Roberts on 20/20 which airs Fridays at 10pm on ABC.
