Dancing With The Stars rewards grit, discipline, style and determination. NFL running back Rashad Jennings possesses all four. Yet Rashad isn’t you typical NFL player — at least not the way he got there. Rashad wasn’t one of those sure-bet star athlete destined for greatness while still in high school. He didn’t go from winning state championships as a teen to USC or Notre Dame. It’s not that kind of story. Instead Rashad basically out of nowhere through sheer will and desire — two characteristics every DWTS winner shares.
Rashad wasn’t drafted into the NFL until the 7th round — the 250th pick. After leaving the University of Pittsburgh, he played college football at Liberty University, not even a top-tier Division 1 NCAA program when he was there. (It was Division 1-AA.) Back in high school Rashad was a “chubby” kid who reportedly weighed 270 pounds. He’s a lean machine now — and a real threat on DWTS.
