Gigi Hadid is working the “real me” angle so hard for Reebok’s #PerfectNever campaign that she’s even bringing tomato soup into it. Nothing is more everyday-eat-it-in-your-yoga-pants dull (and awesome) than tomato soup, right? Andy Warhol used the can of tomato soup as the symbol of quotidien American life, after all. But that’s part of what the Reebok campaign is all about — being comfortable with who you are. As long as you’re also always trying to improve who you are. Sure it’s a bit of a Catch-22, but what isn’t? (“Perfect Never Gets Better” is the fully expressed idea.)
Chatting up fans and media at a Reebok event this week, Hadid revealed she likes to take the ultimate comfort food — tomato soup — and dress it up just a little. She adds a little orzo — it’s like taking her tomato soup for a workout. (You thought tomato soup was perfect. Uh-uh, perfect wouldn’t need orzo. You see?) Gigi says she asks BF Zayn Malik to name a dish and she’ll just try to whip it up on the spot. A little orzo goes a long way. Zayn is also likely a fan of grilled cheese, which Gigi likes to dip. Andy Warhol, who loved celebrities with the same ardor as he loved tomato soup, would be proud. As Reebok no doubt is.
