In the Dance Moms episode ‘Abby’s Worst Nightmare’, the nightmare refers to Abby Lee Miller’s nemesis Cathy Nesbitt-Stein, leader of the Candy Apples Dance Studio. Abby tells her ALDC dancers, “I need 100 percent energy if we’re going to beat Cathy.” ALDC elite dancer Kendall and her mom Jill know that of all of Abby’s enemies, Cathy is the biggest. The problem is Cathy enjoys the competition. “I always want Abby to consider me a nightmare,” she says.

Nia Frazier’s mom Holly can attest to the competitive fire too: “We can never go into a competition with Cathy and have it go well.” Things get heated back stage where Cathy tells Jill, “You are so ignorant.” Dance Moms airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Lifetime.
