When not filming her family reality TV show Little People, Big World, matriarch Amy Roloff works as a motivational speaker. She recently spoke at The Get Motivated! Seminar in Indianapolis, where she was interviewed by the web series IndyStyle.tv. Roloff spoke about her family’s history on TV. Roloff said it started 14 years ago when they made their first pilot, which wasn’t picked up. Their second pilot was (picked up by TLC). The Roloff are now shooting Season 12.
Roloff said one reason why they did the show was “to educate and advocate, not just for little people but for people of differences.” When asked to give advice to parents who are struggling, Roloff admitted: “I definitely struggled with a lot of self-image and value and stuff like that throughout my whole life.” She added: “It’s still with me as an adult, which I fight a little bit all the time, but what I try to instill in my kids, is that everyone is an MVP. Everyone Matters, everyone has Value, and everyone has Purpose. Little People, Big World airs Tuesdays at 9pm on TLC.
