On Season 10 of The Voice, coach Pharrell Williams has only one artist left in the competition, Hannah Huston, but he’s still a fashion plate — rocking his singular style on his final season as a coach. Pharrell likes to wear colorful — and sometimes mysterious — hats (PLANT, FLEA), and this week while watching the Top 8 vie for spots in the finals, he’s sporting a De La Soul t-shirt. The “3 Feet High and Rising” refers to the trio’s first studio album. The title of the album was inspired by Johnny Cash’s song “Five Feet High and Rising.”
De La Soul released “3 Feet High and Rising” in 1989 with Tommy Boy Records. It features one of their most popular songs “Me, Myself and I.” That describes Hannah’s role on Pharrell’s team pretty accurately; she’s all he’s got left. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
