In the Shahs of Sunset episode “C’est la Vida,” when MJ isn’t arguing with Reza about his plan for a surprise wedding with Adam, she’s getting ready to introduce her new boyfriend to her mother, Vida. MJ is no dummy; she knows how to get on her mother’s good side. While Vida is summering in Europe, MJ takes her mother’s dog Ziggy to the beauty salon. MJ’s mother says Ziggy is MJ’s sister.
At the doggie salon, MJ shows tells the groomer that she wants something outrageous. MJ pulls out a small stuffed animal, a cheetah, for inspiration. “My mom has always wanted a pet cheetah.” MJ then instructs the groomer to make Ziggy’s paws look like those of a cheetah – in hot pink and black. “I think she wants to be different,” says MJ of her sister. “And honestly, pink is her favorite color.” When MJ walks out the stylist can’t help but mutter, “Holy crap. Oh my god.” Shahs of Sunset airs Sundays at 9pm on Bravo.
