Chumlee, the genial co-star of the popular cable hit Pawn Stars, was arrested in Las Vegas, where he lives. Police reportedly found methamphetamine, marijuana and a gun in Chumlee’s home. The 33-year-old is known for his easy smile, gentle manner and amiable personality on TV. Chumley — whose real name is Austin Russell — is agreeable enough, for example, to keep a nickname a friend’s dad gave him because at age 12 he looked like the cartoon walrus from Tennessee Tuxedo. The headlines somewhat obscure the fact that Chumlee wasn’t out strolling the Las Vegas Strip with guns strapped to him while smoking weed and tripping on crystal meth. He was at home and the contraband was stored away. Just days before the police showed up with a search warrant related to another investigation, Chumlee was selling his sneaker collection on eBay (see below).
