Who Is Cult Leader Elaine on ‘2 Broke Girls’?

On the 2 Broke Girls episode “And the No New Friends,” when Max (Kat Dennings) reconnects with an old friend, jealous Caroline (Beth Behrs) regresses and falls in with a cult-like crowd. When asked to go on a country retreat, Caroline convinces Max to come with her. At the retreat, “the cult” is led into chanting and other rituals by Elaine.

Elaine is portrayed by Mo Gaffney. She’s appeared on tons of TV shows including Devious Maids, Veep, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but she’s best known for her recurring roles on House of Lies (Principal Gita), That ‘70s Show (Joanne Stupac), Mad About You (Dr. Sheila Kleinman), and last but not least, Absolutely Fabulous (Marshall’s second wife Bo, the loud and obnoxious American). And yes, Gaffney is will have a role in the Ab Fab film. 2 Broke Girls airs Wednesdays at 8pm on CBS.
