The Great Christmas Light Fight is a holiday decorating competition TV series. Each week the two celeb judges, Carter Oosterhouse and Taniya Nayak, travel to different towns across the country to meet with the contestants and to check out their over-the-top displays. This season, one family in Ocala, Florida will find an awesome way to honor breast cancer survivors with their displays. And a family in Greenville, South Carolina will use 500 fireworks synchronized to music. Every episode, Carter and Taniya pick a winner and award them $50,000.

Carter Oosterhouse is best known as host of HGTV’s Million Dollar Rooms and Red Hot and Green. The story goes that the 39-year-old started his career in carpentry at the age of 12 when he became an apprentice to his neighbor. Before getting his big break on TLC’s Trading Spaces (Season 4, 2003), he worked as a model. The 6’2” tall Oosterhouse has appeared in several ads for big brands including Bud Light and Nivea, and he’s the face of the men’s fragrance Voyage by Nautica (see photo below). P.S. He’s married to actress Amy Smart (Justified, Shameless). The Great Christmas Light Fight airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
