On The Good Wife episode KSR, while Peter Florrick’s campaign manager Ruth Eastman (Margo Martindale) schemes to remove the handsome investigator Jason Crouse (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) from Alicia’s life, another odd, handsome man walks into Alicia’s life. Well-respected surgeon Dr. Joseph Portnow hires Alicia and her partner Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) to defend him. He’s being accused of plotting to commit a crime. While working on his defense, Lucca confesses to Alicia, “I don’t think I want to win this one.”
Dr. Portnow is portrayed by Josh Stamberg. He’s appeared on many TV shows from Sex and the City to Law & Order and Castle but he’s best known for his recurring roles on The Affair (Max), Parenthood (Carl Fletcher), Drop Dead Diva (Jay Parker), and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (Luke Scott). The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9pm on CBS.
