On the Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce episode “Rule #77: Don’t Blow the Bubble,” Abby (Lisa Edelstein) is trying to find her way at lifestyle website SheShe. She’s been hired to be the voice/face of the blog, The Face of Divorce. When Abby is pushed to promote the blog by going out on dates, Abby gets the idea to suggest that fellow editor Barbara, also a divorcee, do it instead — to give Barbara “the opportunity to be glam.” Barbara shuts down Abby quickly. “First of all, I am glam,” she says. “Secondly, you’re the sexy face behind this, I’m the brains.”

Barbara is portrayed by Retta (born Marietta Sangai Sirleaf). She’s best known for her role as Donna Meagle on Parks and Recreation.
