In the Grandfathered episode “Gerald’s Two Dads,” bachelor Jimmy Martino (John Stamos) schedules his annual Thanksgiving day date with a hot model in Malibu. But when Jimmy stops by Sara’s (Paget Brewster) house and meets her old boyfriend Bruce, a successful aeronautical engineer — and Gerald’s former surrogate father figure — Jimmy’s plans change.
Bruce is portrayed by Andrew Daly. He’s best known for his roles on the TV shows Review (Forrest MacNeil), Silicon Valley (Doctor), Modern Family (Principal Brown), Reno 911! (Brad the Friendly Homeowner and Coach Brad Petrie), and MADtv (various characters including Dick Cheney). Daly is also recognized for his roles in the films Semi-Pro (Dick Pepperfield), What Happens in Vegas (Curtis), and She’s Out of My League (Mr Fuller). Grandfathered airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
